September 2020 No Pants Record Store Shopping

Algorithms and time differences between my followers and myself sometimes make it difficult to sync up for no pants record store shopping tweet session. I have been doing this tweet session since 2014 (just not monthly) and I love sharing the music I stumbled upon on the bandcamp site.

I highly recommend following a few record labels and yes it means they will flood your emails with messages with new releases, and if you call that spam, I will come for your record collection!

Here were my picks for this month’s edition of NoPantsRecordStoreShopping

Vintage Crop from Australia

70’s style punk rock

The Coathangers - from Georgia

Don’t let the carefree poppy vibe mislead you. This is a fabulous furious favourite of mine

In your face garage rock at it’s best

Pussy Gillette from Austin Texas

I found this through @germyrancid purchases on Bandcamp

This is a fab 70’s punk style band

Tootard from The Golan Heights

Check out International Anthem record label for some unique finds like

Aquiles Navarro & Tcheser Holmes and their fabulous Afro Cuban jazz album that you can pre-order

Stella Chiweshe from Zimbabwe

These songs were originally recorded in the 1970’s and were remastered in 2018.

World beat

Brand new remix from Witch Prophet from Canada

Hip hop jazz soul and r&b fusion at it’s finest!

The Atom Age is one of my most favourite bands

If you like Rocket from the Crypt or New Bomb Turks, 60’s garage surf punk then you should buy all their albums. Because I did

If you could put lounge, tiki, surf, jazz and a sprinkle of bossa nova style into blender you would get this album and I absolutely love it.

I just discovered Stella Peel from France

and sure this album is from 2009 but I will tell you that it is some killer garage punk that you need in your life.

This came out in 2013 and I remember in 2014 I played this a few times on EatKS because i loved it so much and still do. (I bought it on i-Tunes)

For my followers that love indie folk dream pop fusions you should check out this album by Hakim Briki from New York All proceeds go to 2 charities

Global Fund for Women and African Wildlife Foundation

Dubmatix is having a killer sale on his entire discography!

If you looooove dub, bass. reggae fusions you really need to hear this Canadian artist’s talent at mixing and producing serious beats.

New music from @hugeshark and @Gaxophone

Very talented artists!

The most impressive orchestral and brass duet on a soul jazz fusion that your ears will ever hear. And it will always be a fave of mine

Daptone records never disappoints with their roster of artists and music

Sunshine and the Rain - from New Jersey

If Jesus and Mary Chain and New Order had a baby it might sound like this
